Dr. Chandrashekar P is a renowned Orthopedic surgeon and a pioneer in robotic joint replacement surgery and meniscus transplantation in Karnataka, holding the national record for the highest number of meniscus transplants in India. His groundbreaking contributions to orthopaedic surgery and joint replacements have set benchmarks in the field. He is considered among the top knee surgeons in the globe.

Dr. Chandrashekar P serves as the Chairman and Director of the Orthopedics Department at Sakra IKOC Hospital in HSR Layout, Bangalore. He has performed over 10,000 joint replacements and 50,000 orthopedic procedures, including more than 10,000 meniscal repairs. Recognised as the first surgeon in Karnataka to complete 2,200 joint replacements in a single year (2024).

He has completed more than 3,000 active robotic joint replacement surgeries, which is one of the highest numbers by an individual surgeon across the globe.

He is one of the few surgeons in India to perform allograft transplantation of the femoral condyle. Dr. Chandrashekar performs joint replacement surgeries using advanced active robotic technologies such as Cuvis, MISSO, Mako, and Velys robotic systems.
